How Much Does Office Cleaning Cost in Dublin? Hourly Rates and Monthly Prices for 2026

Quick answer: most Dublin offices pay for cleaning as one fixed monthly fee, built from the hours the building needs each week. Contract office cleaning is usually quoted somewhere around €20 to €30 per hour of cleaning, depending on the size of the site, the hours you need and what is included. A quote far below that range is usually below the real cost of labour, and the difference tends to show up later as missed cleans.

The legal floor: what a contract cleaner must be paid

Contract cleaners in Ireland are covered by an Employment Regulation Order (ERO), which sets a higher minimum rate than the national minimum wage. Under the current Order, the minimum rate rose to €14.10 an hour on 17 October 2025 and to €14.80 an hour on 1 January 2026, according to the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment.

That €14.80 is only what reaches the cleaner. Every honest quote also has to cover:

• Employer PRSI
• Holiday pay and public holiday pay
• Cover for sickness and annual leave, so your clean is never missed
• Supervision and quality checks
• Products, equipment and replacement
• Insurance, training and vetting

By our own costing, the real cost of an hour of cleaning is well over €17 before supervision, supplies, insurance or cover are added. That is why a quote that looks too cheap gets paid for somewhere.

How a monthly office cleaning fee is worked out

Most contracts are priced from the hours your building needs, spread across the month:

1. Hours per visit. Set by floor area, layout, the number of people using the space, and how many kitchens and washrooms there are.
2. Visits per week. Kitchens, washrooms and bins usually need attention every working day; quieter offices may suit three visits a week.
3. Weeks per month. Contracts usually average a month at about 4.33 weeks.
4. The hourly rate. Covering everything in the list above.

An illustrative example: an office that needs 2 hours a visit, 5 days a week, comes to about 43 hours a month (2 × 5 × 4.33). At €25 an hour, that is roughly €1,080 a month, before any consumables or extras. Your own figure depends on your building, which is why a site survey comes first.

What changes the price

• Floor area and layout. Open-plan floors clean faster than many small rooms.
• People per day. More people means more use of kitchens, washrooms and bins.
• Hours. Early morning, evening and weekend cleans are normal; very late or overnight work can cost more.
• Washrooms and kitchens. These take the most time per square metre.
• Consumables. Hand towels, soap and toilet roll can be included in the fee or supplied by you.
• Add-ons. Carpets, windows, deep cleans and floor care are usually quoted separately.
• Access and security. Alarm codes, key holding and building rules can affect when and how the team works.

The real cost of a cheap quote

The headline fee is not the whole cost. When a contractor is priced below the real cost of labour, the gap is often made up by fewer hours on site, a different cleaner every week, or cleans that simply do not happen. Each of those has a cost of its own.

What a good office cleaning quote should show

Ask for a quote that is:

• Itemised. Hours per visit, visits per week and what is cleaned in each area.
• Fixed. One monthly fee per site, with extras agreed in writing before they happen.
• Clear on cover. Who cleans when your regular cleaner is off.
• Clear on proof. How you can see that each clean happened.
• Clear on quality. Who checks the work, how often, and what happens when something is missed.
